Dvira is a kibbutz in the desert. Rotem told me that if I came to visit, she would show me the home of prehistoric man. I believed her. Wouldn’t you?
2
She took me to see the primitive cave huts of Hominus negevnomadis, a humanoid species who lived here in the pre-Cambrian era.
4
Apparently, there were several families who settled here.
6
“How did they survive here?” I wanted to know. Rotem answered.
8
Apparently their main source of living were the aerial roots of the pareve tree. They made soup of the branches, and tamed wild dogs with the bark.
10
There were special vents for the rising hot air. Besides the desert weather, several of them were university professors.
12
The huts are now carefully preserved by the Museum of Very Ancient Antiquities.
14
Was it worth the trip? Heck no, but it was great seeing Rotem.
