“Hope”

main characters :Old donkey

Minor characters: Farmer, animals , neighbour .

villain: farms.

sequence of events : There was an old donkey that fell into the deep well. He cried a lot for help until the farmer heard it. The farmer looked at the donkey for a while and then told the donkey that you are old and clumsy and I don’t want you anymore. The farmer called on the neighbors to help him close the well and leave the donkey intact. All the neighbors grabbed a shovel and began shoveling mud into the well. At first the donkey cried a lot, then calmed down, shook the dust off its back and took a step. And I want to tell you: Even if the whole world conspires against you, and even if you are alone in the face of difficulties, you can survive and achieve everything you want if you try again and again and not lose hope.

the plot : The old donkey fell into the well and no one was to save him.

solution :The donkey kept trying and did not lose hope and climbed a step up, then the donkey climbed over the edge of the well and fled.

the theme :The moment you give up hope the moment you die .You may think that the story is a crime story in English about the animal that its owner left to die, but it is a story about hope and not giving up, no matter what happens, even if the whole world conspires against you, and even if you are alone in the face of difficulties, you can survive and .achieve everything you want if you try again and again and not lose Hope.

I want to send a message to the central figure:

I like that you did not give up despite your weakness. There is no life with despair, no despair with life.

My opinion : My opinion is that the moment you lose hope, you will die, As long as hope is your way, you will live it in spite of you and everyone else.
How much I influenced the story, despite the farmer’s abandonment and neglect, but he did not lose hope and kept trying until he succeeded.

Some new words that I invested in my dictionary:

1.coverage: تغطية

2.scraping : تجريف

3.conspire : يتآمر

4.Attempts: المحاولات

5.shake: هزه / هزة

6.achieve (v) : حقق/ أحرز

7. flare up :غضب كثيرا ) استشاط غضبا)

8.Recovered : استعاده / تعافى

I think the writer chose this title because, the moment you lose hope, you will die.

The title that I would have chosen if I were the writer was: There is no despair from life, no life with despair, because indeed if there was a glimmer of despair in your heart, you would have lived in a dead spirit.

The questions that I would like to ask the writer and that I think about are:

1- What if we die before reaching our destination?
2. What if we lose hope?
3. What if our attempts fail?

Some questions with answers:
1.Why do we have to hold on to hope?
Because the moment you lose hope, you die.
2.Who is the main character in the story?
The central character in the story is the old donkey.
3.How did the donkey fall into the well?
The donkey fell into the well when it was walking around the farm near the well.

I’ll ask one of the characters in this book some questions:
The character is: “the farmer”.
questions:

1. Why didn’t you try to help the old donkey?

2. How did you not pay attention to the poor donkey’s condition?

3. Are you satisfied with your behavior?

In conclusion, I would like to express my opinion, that no matter how much you fail, do not give up and do not weaken, because hope is strength and life. I liked the importance of the story and the way it conveyed the writer’s message to us.
