Since the city had endured so many rules and influential cultures upon, it still shows the degree that each era left on its infrastructure and its general architecture.
After the rules of empires ranging from Ptolemaic to Ottoman, and from other countries like Britain and France, modern designs and architectures as well as landscapes have been also affected by the latter mentioned.
Most of the modern museums are built in imitation of Victorian England style, and most of the buildings and shops in ‘The Latin neighborhood’ are heavily influenced by Southern European style.
