Jeff the Water Molecule

       Jeff is a water molecule. He was born underground, and lived very happily for the first few years of his life, getting prepared for his big journey.

      The day had come for Jeff to separate from his family, and embark on his long trip.

     Jeff got all packed and was ready to go. With one final wave to his friends and family, Jeff let himself filter into the river.  

     It was a wild ride! Jeff had no idea which way was down and which way was up! Then, all of a sudden, everything went calm. Jeff was confused, until he realized that he had flowed into the ocean.

Jeff lived in the ocean for a while. Everyday was hotter than the day before. One day, he woke up from a nap. Something was off. He then realized that he was floating. The heat energy had transferred to the water, and caused him to evaporate, and rise up to the clouds.

The cloud was a calm ride. He started out small, but as he started to condense, he got bigger and bigger, every day. One day, he became too heavy and gravity started to make him fall as percipitation.

When he landed, it took him awhile to realize that he wasn’t in the ocean. It was a lot like an ocean, but way smaller. He had landed in a lake. After a few days, he became a snack to an animal. He had never seen anything like it before! It was huge.

Living inside of the animal was a bumpy ride. It was always moving. After a few hours. He started to fall before he hit the ground hard. He had been excreted by the animal and started to soak into the soil.

He was in the soil for a few days. everyday he cot closer to the huge root that reached for him and other molecules. Then, he went through the process of transpiration and went up through the plant. The plant then let him go back into the soil, where he was reunited with his family!

This is the story of Jeff and all of the other water molecules in the world.
