Overpopulation is an issue because there is now less supply for natural resources, and a lot of species are going extinct because their habitats are being taken away.
With overpopulation there has been an increase in global warming and climate change. The reason most of this is happening is because of poverty, lack of education, birth rates being higher than death rates, and immigration.
Overpopulation is a whole world problem and affects humans and our ecosystems around us. People and animals are the two biggest things that can be affected from overpopulation. Ecosystem’s fresh water supply is getting lower and lower by the day. Health issues for the ecosystems is air pollution, also environmental hazards have been brought by overpopulation. A lot of habitats are gone and soon the animals will die off. There’s more food shortages and not a lot of biodiversity.
This issue of overpopulation started back in the 1970s. Overpopulation hasn’t changed at all so rather it is getting worse everyday because the population is increasing, and nobody is doing much about it. It’s also important cause the less people equals less trash and if everyone works together this can not be much of an issue.
My solution for lessening the fact of overpopulation is that City councils should pass solutions to limit population growth. I think this plan will reduce the impact of the human population because instead of staying with a “one-child” policy this would be a better way of handling it. First because it does not limit the number of people per household, it limits the number of people in the city. Second people will not move in the area more because of how many people they have in their family. This will help in the effects of overpopulation which is the consumption of trash.
Starting out small like your community, or even your small neighborhood the leader of that city can put a law or something if you propose the idea. You can share ideas to your city’s social media pages and how overpopulation is affecting us a lot.
It is important for everyone to follow because if you don’t follow and decide to bring more people into the area you will get fined and won’t be able to go back into that place. It’s also important cause the less people equals less trash and if everyone works together this can not be much of an issue.
