Mel: Hey Fudge, what’s that smile on your face?
Fudge: I just won the Lotto!!
Mel: Of course you did.
Fudge: I need to set up a bank account.
Mel: Hold on there, you say you won the Lotto.

Fudge: I sure did.
Mel: But you’re a dog. How did you fill out the form, pay for the ticket?
Fudge: I went halfers with this guy.
Mel: A guy you know, or a complete stranger?

Fudge: I smell him once in a while in the ‘hood.
Mel: He said he would share it with you?
Fudge: He said it would get us out of the doghouse.
Mel: And you thought he was referring to you?

Fudge: Wasn’t he?
Mel: No. And what was your role in the winning ticket? I know for a fact you didn’t pay.
Fudge: I barked out the winning numbers.
Mel: Oh, and where is the guy with the money?

Fudge: He told me to take a hike, so I came home.
Mel: I’m not sure that he intends to pay you.
Fudge: Me neither.
Mel: I don’t know what the lesson is, but I hope you have learned it.
