Count The Day Lost by George Eliot – Ella, Zohar and Lia

In this picture we can see a group of friends just enjoying life and laughing together. They are enjoying themselves and smiling without thinking about all of their worries. In addition they are traveling together and focusing on the bright sides of life. They are there for each other just living in the moment doing what’s fun and focusing on putting a smile on their faces and their friends faces. Furthermore we think that all of the tricky and hard parts in life don’t matter at this moment because they are all together and strong as a group. They pick each other up when it’s hard and are always there.

In this picture we can see a family laughing and having fun.They are making memories together. They are spending time as a family and there isn’t a thing that brings you joy more than spending time with the people you love. In our opinion happiness is what makes the day worth living. If you feel happiness and joy throughout the day, you will have a great day. Family is always there for you no matter what and they are an enormous part of your life. They are the ones that make your day worthwhile and special.

“One glance most kind

That fell like sunshine where it went —

Then you may count that day well spent.”

We chose this quote from the poem because we think it best describes the two pictures we chose. In both of the pictures we chose you can see people enjoying one another’s company and smiling. This relates to this quote because the quote says that once you glance at one another , smile, feel the feeling of joy and sunshine – this makes your day worth spending.

The person who we can see in the picture seems like a young woman . The girl has straight hair. Moreover,  the place where the girl is sitting is on the bank of a river.firstly she seems alone and looks a little unhappy, almost crying. Secondly It seems that the time when they took this photo is at the end of the sunset . It is not known what happened before this photo was taken, but you can see that the girl seems in a vulnerable state.However The fact that she is alone says a lot. such as being hurt by others (verbally or physically).

In this picture we can see a little girl walking alone on a road while holding her teddy bear. It looks like the picture was taken by a photographer in order to symbolize loneliness and sadness. We think that this girl is maybe walking alone because she has had a hard day and needs to calm down or just clear her mind. Sometimes the best thing to do after a hard day is just to stop everything and go on a walk alone. We don’t know why this girl is so sad. Maybe she had seen something that had made her sad or maybe heard something.

“You’ve nothing done that you can trace

That brought the sunshine to one face”

In our opinion this quote means that you didn’t do one self deed that put a smile on one face. We chose this quote because in both of the pictures we can see an upset and lonely girl. In addition we think that it’s a lovely quote that says a lot about all kinds of points of view on this world and the things that people refer to do with their Spare time. To invest in something that will make other people happy or in yourself instead of doing horrible things.
