DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
There have always been somebody elses inspiring us in our lives. They have positive effects and contributions both on our personalities and on our decisions and choices. In this project we would like to introduce inspirational people who have talents, ambitions, strong characters and impressive careers. We believe that these people will be good examples for our students and they will help students broaden their horizons and be awared of their talents. Inspirational people can also pave the way for our students on some certain subjects like their career. For that reason we would like to study on inspiring people around us or in different fields such as in science, history, sports, arts or in music or among celebrities.

The aims of the project are:
* To help students communicate and collaborate with their peers on inspirational people.
*To encourage our students to broaden their horizons and to reach their ambitions by introducing good examples of inspiring sort of people.
* To improve their language skills like writing, reading, speaking and making presentations as the language of the project is English.
* Students will use their imagination, creativity and web2 tools while implementing the activities on the project so their creativity and ICT skills will develop with the help of their imagination.
*To help students work as a member of a group by creating mixed country teams.
We expect our students:
* To develop positive attitude towards their ambitions. We also would like to encourage them to be awared of their talents and ambitions with the help of good examples of inspirational people.
* To develop some competencies and skills like communicating in a foreign language, using ICT, collaborating with peers through the project. While carrying out the activities, students are expected to use their creativity effectively with the help of web 0.2 tools.

My inspiration is my brother. His name is Jhefry. He is self-employed. He always wanted to make a living from music and has worked as hard as he could to achieve it. For example, he sang in an orchestra, the San Francisco Orchestra in the summers. He has a mobile disco company, he also has a band with some friends. He has not worked on his own for more than a year, as part of the cultural sector due to Covid. For this reason he has had to look for another job. But in spite of everything he goes on. Every day he teaches us and with a positive character.
For me, an inspiring person is someone who, for their way of being, their personality and their actions, inspires others to be better and fight for what they want. That is what my grandma is to me.

My grandma grew up in a small town in León, being the middle daughter of a very large lower-class family and she did’t have it easy. That is why she couldn’t study more than primary.
But that didn’t stop her and she soon moved to town and started working. She later met my grandpa, they got married and started a business together, a bakery, which later became a confectionery factory.
In addition to improving their business, she had to take care of her family.
My grandmother has not had an easy life, but she has always overcome circumstances and she has managed to learn from the difficulties of life. From her I have learned that even if life is not easy, you have to keep trying to fight for your dreams.

Jesus Blasco is my french horn teacher in the Music School ‘Angel Barja’ and he has always been a very inspirating person for me. He was a profesional musician that let a life of traveling and playing in the best orchestras around the world for making up a family here in León. When I was a child I did’t apreciate enough the kind of classes he do, but throughout the years I have seen other teachers and he has been a great and very comprehensive teacher. Sometimes when something seems hard to me, he tells me a story of somewhere he has to deal with that and why we study it and he always makes me make the efford in the best way. I’m very pleased I have the luck of having him as a teaches and I will be always grateful.

My inspiration is my grandmother, María Luisa.
She studied social asistency here in León. She dedicated her first laboral years helping people with problems such as drugaddiction and woman who had been abused by their ex/couple.
She is also an independent role model, dumping her husband to take care of herself and her children. She is an example of “If someone is no good to you, they don´t deserve your time.
Currently she is battling with an illness, but as she has proven before, she can defeat it.

The inspirational figure I have chosen is my sister, Inés Ayer.
She has always been an example to follow, not only by her strengh and perseverance, but her attitude towards life and self-developing perspective.
She has taught me much and I will always look up to her.
She is currently working in London and it has been some years since I last saw her, but that doesnt make me sad, since she work her way up.

The person I have chosen as inspiration is my father, David.
He has managed to work in something that he likes and despite the fact that her work takes away many hours of the day, he manages to make time to do the things he likes such as sports (even with her back problems) , play the guitar or read . And yet he still has plenty of time to be an excellent parent and study an opposition. I wish I was like him
Adrián Blanco de Paz
The inspiration I have chosen is my horse riding coach. He has been working with horses for many years and especially training children from an early age to become elites. He has taught me values from almost every aspect of life and I think I have matured with him. In addition, he is a very wise, persevering, responsible and hard-working man.

My inspiration is my grandfather, Santiago.
He was born in Salamanca and he worked as an insurance agent in León. He always had really good humor and awesome positivity, ready for helping whoever needed him, becoming the best person I have ever known. My granddad was a fighter who, despite he is not here anymore, keeps inspiring me every day in many different ways, not only in my personal growth but in other aspects like my way of acting with other people, with incredible values such as generosity and empathy. I hope I will become at least half of the good person he was, making people happy and achieving my own goals with perseverance and kindness. I’m so thankful I have been able to have had him in my life and be capable of taking him as a big role model.

Kamala Harris is the first female vice president of the United States
Kamala is a 56-year-old woman, born in California. Her parents are immigrants from Jamaica and India.
She graduated in law in 1989 and years later she was appointed attorney for the district of San Francisco and then she was California State’s Attorney until 2017, when she entered politics as a senator from California until the last elections of 2020.
Harris ran for the 2020 election along with Joe Biden for the Democratic Party. They won the elections on January 20 2021 after replacing Donald Trump as president.
Harris has been the first many times in his life. When she came to the Senate of California she was the second African American woman and the first South Asian American to reach the US Senate in any state.

During his time in the prosecution she created the first Office of Child Justice.
During his time in the Senate she fought for health care reform, federal legalization of cannabis, a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, the prohibition of assault weapons…
Harris submitted her nomination for the presidency for the Democratic Party but withdrew before the primaries. In August 2020 Biden chose her as her campaign partner and together they won the US presidency.

Ceren’s inspirational people
ATATÜRK
Atatürk is one of my role models, maybe even the most. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is the greatest leader in Turkey .He dedicated all his life to the Turkish people and the peace of the World.One of his sayings is ‘’Peace at home , peace in the world. ‘’He was the first president of Turkish Republic. He created some revolutions for the improvement and development of the Turkish Republic and Turkish public.He was born in 1881 in Selanik and that time, Selanik was in the boarder of Ottoman Empire but right now it’s in Greece. He died on 10th November, 1938.When he passed away , all people in Turkey were in great sadness. We commemorate him every 10th of November.
His mother’s name is Zübeyde Hanım, the
name of his dad is Ali Rıza Efendi, his
sister’s name is Makbule Hanım. Mustafa had eyes like an ocean and hair like the sun. Also he is medium height.
He first started his education in the neighborhood school, but left unfinished and transferred to Şemsi Efendi school. After that, he transferred to the Thessaloniki Civil Middle School , but because of his desire being a soldier, he left there and transferred to the Thessaloniki Military Middle School. Finally, he went to the Monastery Military High School and the Military Academy and the Military Academy and completed his education.
He likes reading books, riding horses, dancing and swimming.
In addition to all these, he was very
interested in Rumelia folk songs
and zeybek dances. His favorite food was
meatless dried beans, which he called oil
beans. He loved children very much, he
had spiritual children, some of them are Sabiha Gökçen, Ülkü Adatepe, Ayşe Afet İnan. His biggest dream was to go on a world tour.
He was a very tolerant person.He was also the supporter of human right , especially of women rights. He gave the right to vote to women in 1934 . He was interested in many different subjects;Maths, sports, Music, Dance , Literature ,etc. He was also keen on learning languages especially French. What he doesn’t like is inequality and injustice.
The reasons why he inspires me are he and his soldiers won a lot of battles for our freedom, gave them the rights that Turkish women did not have before, he was brave , determined,clever and most importantly, he tried to do something not only for his country but for the whole world. I think he is a world leader.

Michelangelo Merisi, universally known as Caravaggio, was an Italian painter.
Trained in Milan and active in Rome, Naples, Malta and Sicily between 1593 and 1610, Caravaggio acquired great international fame in life and immediately after his death, constituting the current of Caravaggism and exerting a strong influence on Baroque painting of the seventeenth century , but was then forgotten until the critical rediscovery in the twentieth century , and is now considered one of the most famous representatives of Western art of all time.

This experience during those months has been beautiful, to be able to see how people from other countries work and how much they work is very curious.
Personally, about technology it has not contributed much to me, however it has contributed culturally knowing traditions more or less distant from mine. It has been a pleasure and I would definitely sign up again.

This project has been very exciting. We have participated in numerous activities from which we have learned a lot; about characters he did not know like Dmitri Mendeleev or Neslihan Demir. On the whole, the activity has been and interesting and entertaining.
Although I have struggled to finish our proyects before the deadline and I found it difficult to cope with my duties in highschool, I think it was a great experience to meet new people from other countries and work with them.
