The lyrics of the song

in my opinion, what gives the song its unique success are the lyrics.

The First Verse

You can clearly see how much love is involved in the song, especially in the begging, where Elvis sings about how it is wrong to rush in a relationship, but the love one carries just overrules everything else.

The Second Verse

one can notice the beautiful and detailed description of love. Though it makes you rush in a relationship, it also makes it flow, just like a river, because it is meant to be.

The Third Verse

This verse is  my personal favorite, the way I see it, is that if you love someone, you wanna have that connection with them, to the point that you would give them your whole life, and it won’t feel like you’re giving up on something because you’re gaining a partner.

• It was actually written for a woman to song for a male partner.
• The lyrics were changed, the first and third line endings do not rhyme with the word “you”.
• it was later sung by many artists.
• there are more than 18 versions of the song.

My personal knowledge of the song:

I think all of us heard the song at least in our life, not necessarily by playing it ourselves but by hearing it on the radio or in tv shows.

the first time I googled the song was back in 2013, I was 13 years old and I loved 21 pilots.

I heard the cover that 21 pilots did and absolutely adored the lyrics. It was simple yet very powerful.

fast-forward to today, I’ve heard many versions and sang it once in a camp in Vermont, USA.

21 Pilot’s Cover

Twenty One Pilots covered this song during the Mostly November Tour in 2012 and it is one of my favorite versions of the song. Tyler Joseph, the lead singer in the band, showed amazing skills at singing the song in his own style.

THE SUCCESS

In conclusion, we can see that the major success of the song did’t come out of nowhere. in this Ebook we talked about the lyrics and some facts and cover, but the Music is also there and is also very well played.
