The Great BGF Baking Event 2020 and Beyond!
The challenge for 2020 and beyond is to don your toques and aprons, and as a family bake two or more items from ‘The Great British Bake Off’ cookbook. Choose both a sweet item and a savory one or go wild and crazy and pick a ‘bake’ from each of there six categories in the cookbook.
This is a British cookbook so weights, volumes, temperatures, etc. are going to be different than we use in the United States. Adapt Keep google handy. You will also discover new ingredients that aren’t available in the US short of special order. Don’t let that be an excuse. Adapt
Oh and be sure to take photos of the entire family decked out in their bakery gear. Capture the process from conception to consumption. Photos will be added to your family’s chapter in our online book.
Get Ready, Set, Bake!
P.S. Hope your sponge cake layers don’t end up like this building in Las Vegas. ;-0
