1st of April 2008

You probably wonder why I am writing here again, it’s going to sound crazy but tomorrow I am going to hike the whole length of the Amazon River.

I dreamed about it my whole life.

I am going there with my friend named Ed, we are going to spend the time there together.

I just finished packing my bags, I Inserted to my bags a lot of water, a sleeping bag, medicines because maybe I will get sick, a lot of clothes, some maps of the Amazon River, a few sandwiches and more.

Before I go to sleep I have to study the maps again.

I have to get a really good sleep because we have to take a bus from Lima to arrive in Camana in the morning.

2nd of April 2008

Good morning, yesterday I haven’t time to write about what I saw while we drove to the Camana, We saw the Pacific Ocean and a lots of deserts, I knew i am going to see that but i didn’t know it’s going to be so wonderful, today me and Ed ate really big breakfast, I ate like 3 omelets and 6 pancakes we needed it because today is the day, I am so exciting.

After breakfast we went to the beach and put our toes in the Pacific Ocean it was so fun and the feeling was amazing.

The next Ocean will be the Atlantic.

13th of July 2008

Today I had a wonderful day. It’s our first day in the jungle. We heard a lot of noises from a lot of animals. We saw a lot of flowers and trees. While me and Ed were walking between the trees I saw strange fruit that looked like grapes but when I tasted it, my skin became red and I realized that this is poisonous grapes so I took medicine and my skin became neutral again.

12th of November 2009 

This day was really dangerous,Ed and I tried to find some fresh food to eat because we were really hungry but suddenly while we were walking we almost stepped on a pit viper.

It was a very scary moment and I almost got a heart attack because if this snake would bite me I could have died in less than two hours. 

It was a big miracle that he didn’t bite me.

2nd of January 2010

Today we looked for a new place to sleep because in our place there were a lot of disgusting bugs and poisonous animals. While we were walking we saw a village of humans, they didn’t have shoes and they had spears to hunt animals.

We didn’t talk to them because we didn’t know them, we were scared because we knew that in the Amazon river there are tribes of cannibals so we ran away.

A few hours later we found a good place to sleep with not a lot of noise and we built cover from the rain.

12th of August 2010 

It was the most fun adventure in my entire life, the amount of the time I was there was a little bit too much.

I thought it’s going to take much less time.

I didn’t really invest a lot of money for the trip so I think it’s worth every dollar that I invested.

If I will visit there again sometime, I will bring with me more medicine and blankets because there were some days that it was really cold and I didn’t have enough blankets.

I wouldn’t go there again because I was there enough time and I understood everything about the Amazon River.
