Introduction

This is my digital book. It includes my accomplishments. I have presented my portfolio for the final project of the English course with Howie and Sara.

Thinglink

I have used thinglink. I have chosen the subject about the classroom. In this thinglink, pupils in grade two should  recognize the objects in the classroom. They can also listen to a song and sing it. There is also a worksheet about classroom. The three activities were created by the use of thinglink to be used to introduce and reinforce the vocabulary items related to classroom.

Padlet

I have used padlet. I shared the padlet’s link  with my second grade pupils. The Pupils should be able to introduce themselves by saying “Hello ” and  saying their  names. They  can also talk about  their ages. They can say where  they live ,and which class  they are  in . They are free to talk about  themselves .

Whiteboard and tricider

I also sent my pupils the link to whiteboard  and tricider via chating . I explained for them how to use each link and share the class .I asked them to write “Hello  and write their names , their ages and where they live “.Most of of the pupils were actively involved . This method really worked .

Edpuzzle

Using edpuzzle is a good way for assessing pupils’ performance. The above tool edpuzzle is for 2nd grade .It is about  the family. It  can assess listening  and vocabulary knowledge.

Storyjumper

The tool  storyjumper is very active and creative .Creating a book and adding  questions  is a very good way for a teacher and pupils for assessment .I have created a book . It is for 2nd grade .It is about a kangaroo. It assesses reading comprehension ,listening  and vocabulary knowledge.

chatterpix

This tool is chatterpix . It is for 2nd grade .It is about the main character in the required textbook-Adam .It assesses listening  and motivates pupils to introduce themselves in a similar way.

Spread sheet – Google sheet

Using spread sheet – google sheet- is a good tool .

I used a  translated wordlist  in Google sheets .The selected words are related to the topic  “In my bag “.

These words are for my 2nd grade pupils. This tool can help  a teacher to introduce vocabulary items for pupils in other languages.

Gamification – Wordwall

Gamification is a very motivating learning tool. I have applied the the tool wordwall to create educational games for second grade. This game enriches  pupils’ vocabulary reportoire.

I have applied the the tool – quizizz– to create educational games for second grade .Through this tool, they can learn new vocabulary items .

google slides and choice board

Using google slides and choice board simulates a real world environment . It creates a virtual classroom that can be a similar model to a real face to face classroom.

I have applied these tools for second grade.

Screencast – o – matic

The tool –screencast-o- matic– enables us to produce videos or utilize  existing videos where we can audio record our own voice. This  tool makes pupils as if  they were in a real classroom because they can watch the lesson and hear the teacher’s voice and  explanation. This is a very good tool for asynchronous lessons. I have used it in google classroom for my pupils.

Biteable

Biteable is another tool to produce or use ready made videos where  we can add music .This is a very nice tool. It creates fun and amusement and a motivating environment to interact using the target language.

Jigsaw planet

I have used jigsaw planet to create puzzles .This is fun for pupils to play ,to learn and to entertain.

Conclusion

This course is very enjoyable and useful .My final project will be saved as  a document which  includes my portfolio of the  accomplishments presented in my own Digital Book. It is a reference book  and a record that I can use and consult whenever I need.
