Around the world, there are different countries. The weather in these countries change because of the different areas: North, South, East and West.

In Israel, there are four seasons during one year: Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. The climate is mostly desert.

Winter

During the winter season, it is very cold outside, especially in Jerusalem and in the North. It rains mostly everywhere and sometimes the rain turns into hail. You may even feel strong winds outside! In order not to get wet, people take umbrellas with them.

In the north of the country, the Hermon mountain is covered with white snow. Once every two years there is snow in Israel. Jerusalem is covered in white and all the children go out to play, wearing coats and warm clothes.

During the winter, there is a lot of rain, thunder and lightning. When it storms outside, you first see the lightning and then hear the thunder.

Spring

During the spring, the weather is pleasant and warm. People go out of their houses and travel in beautiful nature and gardens. Many flowers, trees and other plants bloom(grow again) after the cold winter. A lot of animals come out from their hiding places, such as colorful butterflies and different kinds of birds. You can see many rivers and lakes flow with water. The sun shines brightly in the sky.

Summer

During the summer, many people go to the sea to enjoy the beach and the sun. Girls like to lay in the sun, boys like to play Matkot along the beach and little kids like to play in the pool. The sun can be very dangerous during this season, so people have to wear hats and put sunscreen on their skin. Many other people prefer to stay at home in the air condition and eat watermelon. You can feel hot wind outside, which can lead to sweat and drying. This is why it is very important to drink a lot of water- at least three liters during a day!

The nature is amazing with so many colors to see. It is a perfect time to travel in the north of the country. Rivers and waterfalls flow with water, fresh flowers and high trees.

Fall

During the fall, there are a lot of leaves on the ground and light winds. When the leaves fall from the trees, the trees stay empty.The leaves are colorful with yellow, orange and even red colors. It is lovely to look at them.

In the fall, a lot of birds fly back to the warm countries after they spent the summer season in the north. The days get longer, and it is mostly cloudy outside.
