Once upon a time there were two cats:
One black as tar,
And the other white as lime.
Thus said the black cat, “I am the most beautiful!”
The white then replied, “I am twice as beautiful!”
The black cat was offended,
And the white cat was offended too.
So the cats didn’t talk to each other.
A day passed and they didn’t talk,
Two days passed and still didn’t talk.
Then the black cat thought,
Maybe really the white is most beautiful?
And the white cat also thought,
Maybe truly the black is doubly beautiful?
What did the black cat do?
Jumped into a barrel of lime.
And what did white cat do?
Jumped into a barrel of tar.
The black cat came out – white as lime,
And the white cat came out – black as tar.
They didn’t know then who was who,
Didn’t know who is what.
What a commotion!
What a mess!
The world is upside-down!
So what did the cats do?
They ran wild to the sea.
Washed in waves,
Washed their skins,
From their tail to the tip of their noses.
So they got out of the sea,
And felt great.
And here are the cats,
Both are beautiful.
Black is black as tar,
White is white as lime,
Both cheerful as always.
They apologized to each other,
Tailed together,
And they said: like each of us is beautiful,
So are we twice as beautiful together!
REMEMBER: SKIN COLOR DOESN’T MATTER!
