Keanu Reeves

Keanu Charles Reeves is born on September 2 1964. He is a Canadian actor, musician, film producer and director. Born in Beirut, Reeves grew up in Toronto, Ontario.

Keanu had a very different childhood than the other children. His mother had many marriages and because of that he changed 4 schools and even was expelled from one of them.

Reeves had dyslexia and because of that he fell behind in science. He attended a private school, which allowed him to get an education while working as an actor. He later left and never received his high school diploma.

Keanu Reeves had never been married. He has a girlfriend-Jennifer Sum but in April 2001 she died in a car accident.

He began his acting career in 1973 when he was 9 years old.

Now he is 55 and is still acting. One of the most famous movies in which he participated is The Matrix.

But Keanu’s life is not as easy as other people think.

When he was 3 years old his father left and was accusted for drug dealing. Keanu and his mother moved from city to city, he has many stepfathers and he can’t adapt to the situation. When he was 23 his best friend died. His girlfriend born stillborn baby girl and then they broke up. Two years later she died in car accident. He was depressed but didn’t tell anyone. He knew that the only one who could cure him was himself but he never give up and now he is very pleased of himself.

Achivements

He helps as much as possible with the special effects of the films in which he participates by donating a lot of money. In the film Devil’s Advocate, Keanu has the opportunity to play with Al Pacino. Keanu even gives up some of the money producers have to pay him to be able to take Al Pacino too.

His younger sister- Kim had leukemia. Now she is cures and Keanu donates 70 percents of his gains from The Matrix to hospitals that threat leukemia.

“I’m one of the few Hollywood stars without a mansion. I don’t have bodyguards and I don’t wear expensive clothes. And even though I’m valued at $ 100 million, I still ride the subway and I like it!” said Keany in one of his interviews.

Except from donating part of his money for the treatment of the leukemia in article from 2009 he said that he has a private foundation running for 5-6 years and it helps for curing cancer.

Keanu has been secretely donating millions to children’s hospital for curing any other disease.

Once Keanu had been seen spending time with a homeless person. Reeves was completely engaged by the stories shared by the homeless man. They were even seen sharing a drink and a few laughs during the conversation.

“I’m not looking for a red carpet to walk, and I’m not trying to have a celebrity footprint” said Keanu.

I have chosen this person because he isn’t like other celebrities. He doesn’t care about his money. If he wants to go somewhere he would use the subway or the public transport. It’s most likely to meet him in cheap shops or second hand shops to buy clothes than in world famous brands shops.

I really admire Keanu Reeves. He is such a generous man. He can give up a lot of his money just to help someone even he meets him right now.

Everyone knows that he is an actor. He is working so hard to make money and give them to some charities and hospitals but not everyone knows his story. His life was full of challenges but he continued to deal with them.

I really admire that Keanu donated a lot of money to help curing his sister from leukemia, for donating to hospitals because of cancer and that he behaves like normal person who doesn’t talk about his money but about the other person’s life.

He is one of the most generous and kind people in the world.
