Aliens

This is a story about kindness, love, and fear.

It all started in the year 2080.. it was 15 years after men discovered the aliens…

The man kind was greedy, the consumerism got bigger and bigger throw the years.

The need for faster cars, bigger houses, more clothing, and etc…created bigger factories which polluted the earth.

Flowers and trees started dying, the icebergs started melting, and food and water arrived to an end ,life as we knew them were about to end… fear and frustration surrounded the globe and that could be seeing from far far away…

The invasion happened so quick. thousands of spaceships landed in our lands and an enemy bigger than you can imagine flooded the earth. It all ended very quick, and soon we realized: we are not the strongest creature on this planet anymore!!

In the last 15 years, most of the human beings were prisoners in their own land, some are still trying to fight an unbeatable fight, and some are living in caves around the world.

Those creatures from the sky studied us over the years, studied our languages, knew our technics of fighting, and came prepared for their job!

It didn’t look like something is going to change until one day, a kid from a very small country had a chance to change it all…

Tom is a 16 years old boy, born one year before the invasion. He lived with his family in the working camps among the rest of the people who survived the war in a small country called Milwoa.

Tom was always a bit of a weirdo; he was skinny with very long hair and he didn’t have the anger and the hate like the grownups or his friends. He found the aliens very very interesting. He couldn’t understand why the aliens have arrived… after the big war, quickly, they closed us In those camps: they didn’t give us a lot of food or water and we weren’t allowed to go out of the territory of the camps. No one knew what their goal was for the arriving and what are their plans for the future.

Tom always tried to get close to the alien guards, he could spend hours staring at them, trying to understand their ways. For that he was hated by his friends and became an outsider. His parents always educated him with love and passion for life although the tough times. They couldn’t understand how he became such a guy that everybody hates. many families consider them as traitors and made the life of the family miserable. His dad who used to be a successful teacher before the war, took it the hardest and that made him very sick.

Tom was eager to prove himself to the community, so one day he decided he is going to escape from the camp. He planned it over a year and had one goal in his mind: discover why did the aliens arrived and how can he make them change their mind and free his people.

The Day of the escape has arrived! Scared and excited Tom left his house early in the morning without nobody notice. He never thought that all these hours of staring will be useful one day. He knew the schedule of the guards, when do they change shifts and when a specific guard is going to make himself breakfast. Tom knew he have only 2 minuets to run from a hole in the wall he was making in the past year. Without hesitation he squeezed his way through and out to the open he ran…

Tom was never outside! he heard stories about the dying world and that there is no reason to fight to go out, but he could not imagine his eyes! Birds were singing in the air, animals everywhere he looked, and the nature was blessed with colors he never knew before! Tom couldn’t understand, but slowly it all started to make sense to him, the aliens never treated bad the humankind, and the people never knew what their real goal was! maybe the aliens didn’t destroy the world? maybe they saved it?? Tom had to know the truth! he was surrender himself to the leader of the aliens demanding some answers! The leader said that they couldn’t watch the human being burning our world to the ground and had to save us from ourselves, they said that the humanity always LOVED the nature and the creatures who lives in it until the last few decades and they couldn’t allow it to happened!

Later on, the human being and the aliens agreed that from now on, the human being will protect the nature and lower the air pollution. Tom became the savior of humanity, his dad started to feel better again, and life was good!
