Tom and the jam

Aunt Polly punished Tom for taking  jam out of the closet without permission.  The penalty was to paint the entire fence.” Tom started painting.  He thought of his friends.  “They’ll enjoy today, but I have to work.

“he thought Suddenly, Tom had an idea.  He started to paint carefully.  He often stopped to look at his work.  Soon  his friend  Jimmy, arrived.  Tom, what are you doing?  Jimmy asked. ” Let’s go to the river” said Jimmy, Tom didn’t answer.  He continued painting slowly and carefully.  Hey, Tom.  Are you listening?  Why are you working?  asked Jimmy ,  I didn’t hear you, I’m concentrating, and this is art, not work, Tom replied.  Art? Said Jimmy, That’s interesting!  Can I help you? No, you can’t.  It’s difficult and the fence has to be perfect, Tom replied.  Tom, please!  “Jimmy said.

”I give you my apple” said jimmy. “OK, but be careful,” Tom said.

How many more boys came to Tom’s garden,” what are you doing?”  They asked,” I painting the fence, This is art” answered Tom, all the boys wanted to paint the fence, and everyone gave Tom something in return.

After a while Jimmy passed there and he saw it, he was angry with him.  Tom was sitting under a tree watching the boys work and said to himself: “How smart I am, Aunt Polly never knew that.” Jimmy heard it all and decided to tell Aunt Polly the truth.

After a while the building was finished with the fence and Tom went to Aunt Polly to tell her he was done.  When Tom came home he saw  aunt Polly and she looked very angry, Tom didn’t understand what happened but he ignored it and said: “Aunt Polly I finished my job” And Aunt Polly said: “I know you didn’t really work, Jimmy told me everything and I’m very disappointed in you, go to your room.”  Tom was sad and said: “Okay.”  When Tom was in his room, he thought about his actions and decided to go and ask forgiveness from his aunt Polly.  He went to her and asked for forgiveness and Aunt Polly said: “I forgive you this time and hope you learned your lesson..”
