RAYMUNDO GARDEA
PAINTER
The soul and spirit of Raymundo Gardea is one of the innocence portrayed
in Dreaming. He lives his life in passionate pursuit of beauty, love and
understanding. His paintings are inspired by these ideals and depict the
antithesis of the violence and disease we witness daily in our streets and
the hardships he suffered growing up.
An attending Cerritos College he started doing more constructive type
of art and learned how to assemble his artwork. He graduated from
Cerritos College with and Associates Degree in Arts.
Fearful of the expense and insecure about his ability to operate
a business, he nonetheless took their advice and in February of 1998,
opened Raymundo’s Fine Art Gallery in Long Beach, California.
He has achieved national and overseas recognition. A Japanese firm
commissioned Raymundo to paint a series of American cities. They are
being produced as limited editions and on sale through catalog order in
Japan and the United States.
