What Happens If You Get Coronavirus?

A virus infects your body by entering healthy cells. There, the invader makes copies of itself and multiplies throughout your body.

CORONAVIRUS – How To Protect Yourself:

As you touch people, surfaces and objects throughout the day, you accumulate germs on your hands. You can infect yourself with these germs by touching your eyes, nose or mouth.

To protect yourself, wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water aren’t available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

The coronavirus outbreak began in Wuhan, home to around 11 million people.

According to state media, the new Huoshenshan Hospital will contain about 1,000 beds.

Doctors and other health-care workers fighting the coronavirus outbreak in China don’t have any specific treatments to use against this new virus. When they try to treat severe cases, they’re walking a tightrope aiming to find just the right level of immune response to kill the virus without setting off other problems.

The Chinese city of Wuhan is building a hospital in just a few days, to treat patients suspected of contracting the coronavirus.
