 WHERE IS COPENAGHEN?

Copenaghen, the capital of Denmark, is located on the coastal islands of Zealand and Amager.

HISTORICAL FACTS PART 1

Absalon XII was a bishop adviser to king Valdam I.

Absalon had a fortification built around the Christianborg castle.

Copenaghen became a city of fishing and commerce.

HISTORICAL FACTS PART 2

This city had to suffer fires and the plague.

In 1801 there was the first battle go the city against the English, and in 1807 there second.

The city was destroied by bombs, then had a great period of development where they also built the port that united Copenaghen to Malmo(Sweden).
