MY OWN PLACE

2
I live in a small mountain village and, when I want to being on my own, I usually go out and I take long walks to arrive near a river surrounded by many trees.

Then I sit on a big stone and, only in that moment, listening the flow of water and the rustle of the branches, I can start relax me and think deeper.

The concept of loneliness is different from that of solitude:

-LONELINESS is a negative psychological state, where people feel like they are alone, abandoned by family and friends.

-SOLITUDE is a physical state, where people are isolated without being lonely. Usually staying at solitude is a choice.

I’m rarely alone, indeed I’m often surrounded by many people.

Though sometimes I feel alone, because I think that they don’t understand me.

But this state is not always too much bad because, being lonely usually makes me more creative.

“Solitude, isolation, are painful things and beyond human endurance.”

by Jules Verne.

This phrase lets me think about the current situation: we are living a forced isolation.
I believe that, this period is really hard for all of us, but we must resist for a little while in order to continue living normally.

If I can decide what or who to take with me in times of loneliness, I would choose my best friend, because she there is when I need help and the other way around.
We could share our moment of loneliness and sadness together.
