Anna decided one day she was going for an adventure around the butterfly pasture. She told her mother she would not be long. One thing Anna was unaware of was what this adventure is going to hold.

She began her adventure. Along the way she saw many beauties within the pasture she lived in. Anna began getting tired and decided she was going to stop to rest.

When she settled down to rest she dozed off. When she woke up she realized it was night time and began to panic. Anna began to flutter all around in the area she was in and was not paying attention to which direction she was fluttering in.

Once the sun began to rise is when Anna realized she was lost. She began to look around for familiar places near her home but found that nothing was the same. So, Anna decided to stop fluttering around and calm herself down to begin working on a plan to get home.

She rested down upon a sunflower. Then began to decide where she would start her plan at. The first thing she decided was that she needed to figure out which direction she came from.

She began her travels towards what she believed was south. Once she traveled for about an hour, she stopped to look around. When she rested she came across some caterpillars eating.

Anna flutters down to talk to the caterpillars. Anna spoke up and said, “excuse me. I am sorry to bother you, but could you tell me if I am heading the correct direction towards the south?” The caterpillars reassured Anna that she was heading south and sent her on her way.

Anna went on her way and began finding places that she knew. Just when she notices some places, she stops to look around, and notices that she is still far from home. She knows the sun will be setting soon, so she has to find a place to sleep for the night.

When Anna wakes up she goes to drink a little bit of nectar and then starts on her adventure back up. As Anna flies she sees the mountains she passed on her way out of the pasture. She does a loop while flying, because she is excited to be close to home.

Anna continues to fly, but then she hears her belly grumble. She stopped to drink more nectar from a tulip. Once Anna was done drinking her nectar, she knew she was close to home, because she saw the tree she passed with the swing that the little girl had been swinging on.

Anna saw all the beautiful colors when she entered the pasture and knew she was home. She was greeted by other insects and butterflies. The only thing that was on Anna’s mind was what her mother would think about her being gone for so long.

Once Anna got near to where her mother was, she was scared to say anything to let her mother know she was there. Then her mother saw her and exclaimed, “Oh how I’ve missed you my dear!” From that point on they both agreed that when Anna wanted to explore her mother would tag along with her to see all the beauties of life.
