My First Camping Trip

Have you ever went camping ? I have.  My brother, dad , and I went camping at Turkey Hill park .  It was our first time going to camping we were all excited to go. I could wait to go on my very frist camping trip. I was so excited !

Dad where is the tent ’’ I said. “ It’s in the truck .’’   

I grab the tent and started to run because it was almost dark. My dad brought an enormous cot. so we didn’t have to sleep on the floor. My brother and I help my dad set up the tent it was a little hard to do.

“ Hey Shawn do you know where you put the sleeping bags?” I asked,

“ There in the front of the car .” He replayed,

My dad taught us how to whittle it was hard.  You have to be really careful because you can stab yourself . I was really scared when I was whittling because I didn’t want to stab myself with the sharp knife. After a few minutes my brother and I got really good whittling.

“ Hey Shawn and Kyla can you get me some campfire wood we brought  ”  

We both replied “ Ok .”
Before before we  went to bed it was freezing cold I put my head into my sleeping bag to stay warm.  We had to get the heavy wood we carry it together. We brought hamburgers and hot dogs for dinner. They were delicious.  

Soon after dinner we roasted marshmallows. Camping is a lot of fun. If you never been camping before you should try it. You will love it.  I was time to go to bed it was really late. Our first camping trip was a blast. Hope we go camping a again and again.  

“ Shawn and Kyla it’s time to go to bed. ” My dad said,

“ Goodnight ” we both replied.
