Our English teacher and art teacher organized a trip in Verona with the purpose of visiting the ancient city of love where Romeo and Juliet lived and fell in love.
We started our day from Piazza Bra under Shakespeare’s statue.
We proceeded our trip with the Arco dei Gavi through which we arrived on the Adigeo river.
Moreover, we visited Juliet’s home and saw Romeo’s home from the outside.
We arrived at Piazza delle Erbe where the prints on the walls and their meaning fascinated us.
We visited king Can Grande’s tomb and listened to his story about he and his family.
In conclusion we made a treasure hunt with the purpose of discovering the hidden corners of the city. We ran up and down the streets, saw the city’s famous monuments and buildings such as the arena and discovered hidden magic corners like dilapidated theaters on the river.
We are thankful to our teachers who gave us this wonderful opportunity to discover an amazing city as Verone in a different and modern way. We had a great time interacting with the environments we have studied on our books and we would enjoy going back soon.
