Let’s talk about Halloween, this scary night is celebrated on the 31st October but before talking about what people do let’s talk about the origins …

It does all begin with Stingy Jack, a bad guy who is joking everyone, his family and even the devil itself. One day, he makes the devil climb up in an apple tree and trappes him so he can’t go down. Then he makes him swear that he won’t take his soul when he dies when stingy Jack dies he is not accepted to go to heaven because he was to mean with other people, then he goes to hell where he is also refused because the devil can’t take his soul so he is stuck between hell and paradise with a turnip.

Sins this day kids wear costumes and make scary faces out of pumpkins.

A Poem to Remember…

12

Remember, remember the 31st of October

When the Tricky Jack

Was all in black

Trapped in the middle

His only friend was a vegetable

When the kids come

In front of your home

Don’t be afraid

They just want to be paid

With sweets

So just be sweet

People wear costumes which are scary

People give them candy

Trick or Treat

The pumpkin light

Shines in the night

It’s a fright
