In our beautiful city Aydın we are doing a lot for recycling and sustainability.
- We have seperate bins for different waste.
- Our municipility is arranging competitions “bring your watse, get your present”.
- Motivation is good, but still have things to learn and teach.
In Saint-Joseph , Réunion
In our city , we use :
*buses for eco-mobility, called the Gecko Bus – since February 2019
*bins to recycle glass in public areas
*bins to give away old clothes to be recycled
*At home , each family has a green bin for all types of waste and a yellow bin for cardboard, plastic and paper , given by the townhall.
* a compost bin at home that you can get by asking to the townhall for free.
* in each family , a calendar is given with information about recycling and the eco-citizen behavior with the 3Rs : recycle , reduce , repair, reuse.
The city is improving but there is still a lot of work to be done.

Watching our school
Is it sustainable or not?
PORTO GARIBALDI
We make the separate collection of plastic, paper and used batteries.
After school lunch, we collect fruit and bread to avoit food waste.
CEIP GUADIANA, Badajoz (SPAIN)
In our school, you can watch:

We have a vegetable garden and we sell our vegetable.

All these bins are done with our pupils and by doing with them they are also encouraged to use them effectively.

In our school , Collège Achille Grondin we have :
*big compost bins outside in the garden
*a small compost bin in the teacher’s room
*big plastic and cardboard bins in the playground for sorting
*a no-waste policy at the canteen
*an eco-club with students who think about actions to lead in the school . In December , they organised a Sustainability Day at school. They also participated in the international compost poster challenge.
*6 eco-representatives
* a recycling policy of the draft paper
*a gardening club
*a garden with some fruits and plants(papaya and aloe vera)
*led bulbs in the classroom for less-energy wasting
*water fountain so the students can have fresh water in th eplayground and they can use reusable bottles
*a box to collect plastic caps for a local association that recycle them.
*in classrooms , the students and teachers grow plants .
