Verona

Introduction
Hello, I am Enrico, I am 16 and I live in Reggio Emilia, a small town near Bologna. I study in liceo IESS. In this book I’ll share you my school trip In Verona on the twenty second of November 2019. I have participated with my class, we visited wonderful place and explored the city centre playing treasure hunt.

Our trip started at “Piazza Bra”, where we met our tor guides.

The class split into two groups, one directed by by Federica Castedari and the other one by Francesco Lenzini.

Cangrande
Our tour guide leaded us to Castelvecchio, a huge fortress built near the Adige river. The guide explained us that Cangrande Della Scala, which was the prince of Verona, was very important and rich, so he decided to build a castle near the river, in case of an attack he was able to escape easily thanks to a bridge.

Scaligeri Arch’s

Here rest the body of Cangrande. Scaligeri Arch’s is the cemetery of the most relevant members of their family.

Cangrande was friend of Dante Alighieri, he mentioned him in paradise to express his gratitude.

Romeo and Juliet

We started this project to learn more about the setting and the history of Romeo and Juliet, as we studied at school.

We visit the house of Romeo’s love. Is a magical place
where love still there even if the two lovers are in an other life.
