(Checkpoint one)

Geological processes change Earth’s surface over time because Erosion takes sediment to new place, Deposition drops the sediment, Weathering breaks the sediment.

Evidence: According to the station called wave erosion the water took the sand and put it back on the surface because when we pushed the sand to one side the water took it and moved it to the surface. Also according to the station called Mechanical Weathering the sugar cube got smaller because weathering breaks the sediment down because when you shake it in the cup there is sandpaper and makes more of sphere. Finally according to the Deposition station the dirt got wider because the water was dropping the sediment and that causes the dirt to get wider and makes a Delta.

I know my evidence supports my claim because the earth won’t change tomorrow it will change in several years. Mechanical Weathering station made the sugar cube break down into several parts this happens in the real world with rocks weathering breaks down the sediment and takes it to a new place because Weathering breaks down the sediment maybe because of wind or water. Wave erosion is something

that can also happen in the real world water takes the sediment from somewhere and brings it to a new place because erosion takes the sediment. Deposition will drop the sediment and bring it to a new place and either make a delta or something else.

My inference is that the landform called the Cascade Mountain Range Is caused by weathering. In the original picture you see some very pointy points you even see some snow maybe. I believe the cascade mountains were made up of Weathering. Because Weathering breaks the sediment and then takes it to a new place. According to The Cascade Episode the cascades used to be a big volcano. Also according to the station Physical Mechanical weathering the cube started as just a regular square shape after you put it in the can with the sandpaper the cube was broken down some sediment was taken off to turn the regular size cube into a rounder circular shape. In the picture I also see some pointy points on the mountains and maybe some snow.
