Weathering and erosion are two geologic processes that change Earth’s surface over time. Weathering changes Earth’s surface by breaking down parts of continents and erosion changes Earth’s surface by taking sediments to other places. Evidence from the labs that support my claim is in the sugar cube lab the sugar cube broke down and got rounded corners and in the wave erosion station, the waves kept coming up and bringing sand with it. This evidence supports my claim that weathering and erosion change Earth’s surface because weathering breaks down rocks over a long time as it weathers for like 1 spec every month. Erosion takes those specs and drops them in other places to make sedimentary rocks.

The landform I chose was white bluffs. I infer that the white bluffs located in Washington were formed by erosion and weathering. 

The evidence that supports my inference is that there are steps on them and those could only have been formed by erosion and weathering. More evidence that supports this inference is, according to https://www.fws.gov/refuge/Hanford_Reach/Geology/ “The late-Miocene to late-Pliocene Ringold Formation, known as the White Bluffs, was formed from river and lake sediments deposited by the ancestral Columbia River and its tributaries.” This shows that: the white bluffs​ were formed by rivers and tributaries breaking apart the rock and washing it away. that is erosion and weathering.
