Why has Phil Ochs been largely forgotten? After all, he was a leading protest singer of the sixties. We grew up on his songs. “Changes” is one of the best songs ever written. Was it being in the shade of Dylan (although his lyrics are more direct and piercing)?

His limited musical ability? His extreme left views? His early demise (age 35)? His failed attempts at going rock? Have a look at the videos and make up your own mind.
