How to use Tablets, Educational Apps and Social Media in Your Classroom, Dublin, Ireland

This is our school. It is called “Hristo Yassenov”Comprehensive school. The school was founded in 1944.

Our school is the largest school in the area. There are 810 students from first to twelfth grade, aged 7 – 19, and 86 highly qualified teachers. The school has primary education level from first to seventh grades and secondary from eighth to twelfth grades.

These are our youngest students.

The school hosts the  football academy whose patron is the famous Bulgarian football player Hristo Stoichkov. Have you heard of him??? We also have two volleyball teams!

A great number of our students are members of the local folklore dance company “Balcan Youth“, which  has a lot of both national and international prizes

And this is me. My name is Maya and I’m an English teacher. I’ve been teaching for 12 years. This year my students are at the age of 12 and 16.

This photo was taken on the first school day two weeks ago. I’m their class teacher and we do a lot of activities together. They enjoy speaking English and they prefer learning English through games. Their favourite games are “Family Feud” and “Who wants to be a millionaire”. They also like doing voluntary work and often take part in charity events. Next photos show some our activities and the way we spend our days together.
