The Turkish philosopher Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi was an Anatolian holy man who gave hope and inspiration to humanity. Mevlana is included in the 7th grade curriculum as a topic but this time was memorialised with the painting contest within the Mevlana Week. Our students reflected what came to their minds when said Mevlana and whatever they understood from his philosophy to their paintings and sketches.
Come , whoever you are, come
Either exist as you are, or be as you look
Have seen Many People that dont have any clothes on. Have seen Many Clothes that dont have any people in. Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi
ADVICES OF MEVLANA
In generosity and helping others, be like a river…
In compassion and grace, be like sun…
In concealing others’ faults, be like night…
In anger and fury, be like dead…
In modesty and humility, be like earth…
In tolerance, be like a sea…
Either exist as you are, or be as you look.
