This is a poem book about the significance of the Alsace Wine Industry. The poems have been created from information that was found, to make a fun twist on the tasty wine in Alsace France. Each author of each poem is where the information is from, either a website, journal, or blogger.

Unique Alsace
By: Puckette, 2017
With its unique location within a valley
along the borders of Germany and France.
Alsace Wine region is a great place for communally.
Although there are conflicts between the countries
the Rhine river separates the jealousy.
As years go by they start to get along
just like those in the Alsace wine community.
Now grab a glass and come with me as we explore the white wineries.
The Stretch of the Vineyards
By: D’Alsace Vins, 2019
Acres and acres 39,000 to be exact,
five wine regions remain in tact.
Within these acres the grapes are a variety,
when you go on a wine tour its known to be a calm party.
Riesling, Pinots, Sylvander, Mulscat, and Gewurztraminer,
these are the types you’ll get the endeavor.
Starting in the 2nd century AD,
the legends continue on in Alsace.
Architecture is Key
By: D’Alsace Vin, 2019
Wine-making houses surround the vineyards,
in Alsace France just as pictured.
These houses are critical to making wine,
as well as keeping the animals in line.
Each floor is designated to a certain duty,
you’ll see this on a tour throughout all of its beauty.
The sheds are small but they are critical for the town,
to create wines the best around.
We are a Community
By: Wineista, 2019
Drinking wine makes you warm and happy,
as time goes on your might even get yappy.
The friends you meet at the Alsace wineries,
are ones that stick with you like wine and cheese.
Everyone is friendly and open to explaining,
so come with me and grab a glass of our dry Resiling.
Breaking the Wine Law
By: Frenchwinelaws.com & Puckette, 2017
There are laws in the Alsace Wine region,
the laws can not be broken or your lose your accreditation.
The vineyards in Alsace are all protected,
when walking throughout the vines they must be respected.
If your bottle says “Vin de Table”,
you know that this is legal.
The three different laws are easy to follow,
Alsace AOC, Cremant d’Alsace AOC and Alsace Grand Cru AOC these wont be hard to swallow.
The wine coming from a certified location,
within the vineyard of the Alsace Wine region.
Aromas, Aromas
By:Puckette, 2017 & D’Alsace Vin 2019
The smells fly out of the glass,
like fruit and spring time in Alsace.
The Alsace region is known for the aromas,
pairing the wines with rich tasting food will put you in a food coma.
Their signature wine is known to be dry,
if you like sweet wine you still have to give this Riesling a try.
Their white wines are to die for,
ones you try one, you’ll be back for more.
Final Thoughts on Alsace
By: Sabrina Kraska
Alsace region is beautiful and tasteful,
I hope one day to visit in the fall.
Ill try the dry Riesling paired with the duck,
hopefully I wont say yuck.
If I do its because I like sweet wine,
but in Alsace ill have to try a new vine.
I’ve learned so much about this region,
its beauty and grace that wont be mistaken.
From 2nd century AD,
all the way to 2019.
The wine industry in Alsace,
is on my vacation list in France.
