Elle was fuming on the inside, and any

moment now her limit would be

reached and she might unleash her

built-up anger.

This was the second time that week

where the big vile neighbor was yelling

ruthlessly at her mother.

2

All of Elle’s desires were to make it

stop, but at the tender age of eleven,

she lacked both the courage and

confidence to fight the battle she knew

to be right.

3

Ever since that moment, more than 13

years ago, Elle paid great attention

to vicious egos, and she vouched to be

strong enough to protect others from

these egos.

4

Elle was now 24 years old, and she had

made a home for herself in Switzerland.

Today was her first day in the MBA

program at SBS, Swiss Business

School of Zurich, and it would be under

the institution’s supervision that she

would find herself with the opportunity

to defy the domineering ego of an

individual in power.

5

In Elle’s second scheduled lesson, one

of the institution’s most seasoned

professors stood in front of the class.

He was a man of pure ego; one who

thinks of himself as being an almighty

and all-knowing individual. Without a

doubt, he had the class’s attention,

but the only person seeing this heroic

version of a human being was the

professor himself.

6

His smile was fake, and his laugh

obnoxious. If you had to put all the

characteristics of a reprehensible

being into one, it was this lump of an

SBS lecturer commanding from his

elevated marble stage.

7

Things really went too far when the

professor maliciously ridiculed a shy

Moroccan student for his poor German

accent. The professor continued his

distasteful mockery of the students

who had come to learn from him,

and all this went on with no objection

from the dismayed audience.

8

Elle gathered herself before becoming

completely silent…

because at the end of the day, it is the

professor who is always right.
