Genie in a Plastic Bottle

A guy walked along the beach and bumped into a bottle. He bent to pick it up and cleaned it from the sand that covered it. In no time, a Genie appeared and offered him 3 wishes. The guy thought about it and then, he asked for his 3 wishes.

All were for himself!

The Genie said, “Oh, I forgot! There is one thing. You can’t wish for yourself”. So, the guy thought again and then, he asked for his 3 wishes.

All were for his friends!

The Genie said, “Oh, I forgot! There is another thing, you can’t wish for your kind”. So, the guy thought again and then, he asked for his 3 wishes.

All were for the Environment!

We are all familiar with the mind shifting from Have -> Do -> Be. e.g. ‘If i would have money then, I would buy a big house, a Ferrari, get the love of my life and only then I will be happy’, to the opposite, ‘If I will Be who I am -> I will Do what I like to do the most and what I am best at -> and only then I will Have the money’.

This tale above illustrates the way we think, if only we wished first for the Environment, for others and only then for ourselves then, the world might be a better place to live in.
