Ruth and Noami

Ruth’s story began when Elimelech’s family left their homeland and moved to Moav because of the hanger and the drought.

After a while’ Elimelech died and after 10 years his sons died too.

Noami and her daughters in law were left alone.

Noami decided to go back to her homeland without her daughters in law,so Orpa went back to her family.

Ruth insisted on going with Noami.

Noami tried to convince Ruth to stay at Moav, but Ruth still wanted to go with Noami to Noami’s homeland.

After they went back to Bethlehem , Ruth went to the field and she attracted Boaz’s attention, the field owner.

Boaz asked the boys that harvest the field about Ruth , and he found out that Ruth is his relative.

He asked her to collect food only at his field , and  he invented her to dinner.

In addition, Boaz asked the boys to treat Ruth with respect.

After sometimes, Noami told Ruth to go in the night to Boaz so that he can married her.

Ruth did what Noami told her and the next day she went back to Noami.

Later Boaz and Ruth got married and a baby boy was born.

2) We chose Ruth as a charcter to admire.

Ruth chose to give up on her family and her religion to follow Noami’s way and religion .

In our opinion Ruth is the main hero of the story.

Ruth is a hardworking and modest woman,  We can see that when Ruth came to Bethlehem she went out immediately to collect the harvest, without waiting for Naomi to tell her. And she picked up all day without rest.

Accepting the Torah ia an historical event , and it’s important to the Jewish nation.

It is a meaningful thing for us , because the Torah is our identity and that’s what we believe in.

Accepting the Torah is the event where we made an agreement with God and accepted the Torah and the Mitzvot.

The Torah is our life and  thaht’s why Accepting the Torah is such a meaningful event to us.
