Many years ago, a tiny puppy was born. One day, his new Mommy and Daddy chose him from all the other puppies because they fell in love with his beautiful eyes and sweet smile. They named him Chompie.
Chompie was a tiny, furry bundle of joy. He ran and jumped and played all day. His Mommy and Daddy loved him so much.
This tiny, furry ball of love grew and grew and very soon became a big and very furry dog.
Everywhere he went, people smiled at him, asked to pet him and hug him. Even little children who had never touched a dog loved to play with him.
As time went on, Chompie wanted a brother and a friend more than anything. He wanted another puppy to play with and go on adventures. He waited and waited…
After many days, a very, very tiny puppy was born. He was so tiny that he could be held in the palm of a hand. One day, his new Mommy and Daddy chose him because they fell in love with his beautiful ears and funny tail. They called him Carlos.
People always said how cute Carlos was and wanted to pet and hold him.
Carlos’ Mommy and Daddy decided to bring Carlos to Grandma and Saba’s house to meet Chompie.
It was love at first sight. Chompie finally had his brother and best friend. He gave Carlos a kiss and they bark-whispered in each other’s ears about the adventures they would have together.
They played hide and seek. They ran around the garden together. They barked-told each other stories and shared doggie secrets.
One day, it was time for their first adventure. Carlos and Chompie quietly pushed the door open with their noses and escaped to the park.
They slid on the slides, swang on the swings and had fun on the see-saw.
All of a sudden, they saw a strange creature. It had big ears, a long neck and a funny looking tail. It squealed when they came near it and ran down a hole. Chompie and Carlos followed it down the hole.
They fell and fell and fell and finally reached the bottom. Mr. Squelly Long Neck welcomed them to the most beautiful garden they had ever seen. They ran from flower to flower and tree to tree and with each new sight, they made a new friend.
They met Uni the Unicorn and Ronny the Rabbit in the flower bed.
They met Harry the Hippo and Starry the Swan at the lake and celebrated a beautiful festival with the creatures.
Night fall came. The moon came out and everyone and everything became quiet.
Chompie and Carlos were so tired. They wanted to go to sleep but they missed their Mommies and Daddies and their families. All they could they could think about was being back with the ones they loved.
It was time to say goodbye to all their new friends and go up the hole back to their home. They quietly opened the gate to their home, lied down and fell asleep. It felt so good to be home.
Until their next adventure…
