It was a sunny day at the Butterbean Cafe in Puddlebrook.
Butterbean and her friends were getting ready for the new day.
Butterbean was baking chocolate chip cookies and wonderful birthday cakes.
Cricket, Poppy, Dazzle and Jasper flitted around making sure the tables were ready and the flowers were watered.
Spark and Spatch welcomed the guests as they came to the cafe.
The first guests for the day were Mia and Dylan. They loved Butterbean’s chocolate chip cookies and hot chocolate with marshmallows.
All of a sudden, all the cookies and cakes disappeared! They were gone!
“What will Butterbean give her guests? Mia and Dylan, the rabbits and chipmunks have waited all week!”, everyone said.
Mia and Dylan looked everywhere for the cookies and cakes. They looked in the front. They looked in the back. They looked outside but they couldn’t find them anywhere!
Then, they saw Mrs. Marmalady running away with a big bag of cookies and cakes!!
Mia said, “They are not yours! Bring them back now!”
Dylan said, “You should not take them! Bring them back now!”
It worked! Mrs. Mamalady gave them all the cookies and cakes.
Mia and Dylan did a great job!
Butterbean was so happy!
Mia and Dylan were so happy!
Everyone ate the cookies, drank hot chocolate and jumped for joy!
