After leaving Tom with Jim I start running towards the first house I could see and ask where I could find a doctor or a hospital.
Fortunately the one living in the house was a doctor so after telling him the situation we ran back to Tom and Jim.
When we were there Tom was already unconscious because of the excess of blood escaped from the wound.
After the medication it took 3-4 weeks of recovery for Tom to come back to his routine even if now he couldn’t walk just limp….

Jim and I stayed beside him to assist him and to entertain him.
During a dinner we started discussing about what we wanted to do in the future and a few days after we departed:
Tom was going to stay at his uncles house until the was one hundred percent healthy and then will start traveling.
Jim decided to find himself a job and a place were he could live as the free man that now he is .
I, conversely, after that decided to keep on my journey to Cairo in Illinois.

Following the current of the river and making some stops near there I met many strange people.
One of them was Elisabeth, the most beautiful woman i ever seen, she was as reckless as Tom…or maybe even more.
We bumped into each other during a country festival and it was love at first sight.
With her I lived the craziest adventures and after arriving to Cairo we decided to get married and stay there….

From the time to time slavery was abolished in more countries…
Every month trough the years Tom , Jim and I scented each other letters:
From Tom tons and tons of postcard of unusual places where he had performed with is band; after his healing he met a musician and started playing with him and decided to form a group.
Meanwhile Jim had earned a fairly amount of money and opened a restaurant.
In his letters he after mentioned all the new recipes that liked to experiment or some interesting news from the city.
While I’ll be sending my family photos and memories from my journey
