Tom was in a very bad condition but except that he stayed positive shouting: “This is the best adventure ever!” We immediately took a near boat and started to row as fast as we could to the other side of the river where we knew there was an hospital not so far. When we got to the hospital we were covered in blood and a nurse immediately took Tom to the emergency room.

We waited there for a lot of time when i realized that Jim was still wanted from the armed guys so i told him to run away as fast as he could to finally be a free man. He told me that the last thing he wanted to do was to leave me and tom alone but after talking with him for a few minutest i made a promise to him: “Listen Jim, we got you free so now you have to live your life, i promise you that in a few months, when tom will start to feel better we will look for you and we will start a new life together”. after listening to me he gave me a big hug and left running.

I was very tired after all that waiting but fortunately the doctor got in the room and started to talk to me about Tom’s situation.”The bullet got too deep so we couldn’t do anything to save his leg, we had to cut it off” it took me a while to figure out what was really happening but then the doctor said that with a fake wooden leg he would have start to walk again in a few months so when Tom woke up we took all the money we had and bought a wooden leg for him. I explained him the promise i made to Jim and he completely agreed with me so when he started to walk again we immediately left for our trip to find Jim and after talking with a lot of people and going in a lot of little towns we found him clinging to life in his little house after taking a very bad fever.

We stayed with him for a week but unfortunately he left us after not so long. We were very sad so we decided to start another adventure to fell better and that was the end of the story about how i met Tom and Jim.
