Holes

my book for my book report is the book holes written by Louis Sachar. Sachar wrote several books (including small steps, wayside school, fuzzy mud…….). the book is about a boy named Stanley yelnats. stanley was sent to a camp for bad boys called camp green lake because he was accused of stealing world famous baseball player Clyde Livingston’s shoes.     and its all because of his no good dirty rotten pig stealing great great grandfather.  that was a joke in Stanley’s family. the story is about that is this: Stanley’s great great grandfather Elya Yelnats lived in a faraway country from America. he loved a woman named  Myra Menke he asked her father for her hand in marriage he said that he will have to bring him the fattest pig so Elya went to an Egyptian fortune teller for some advice she said he should go to America because she said she despises of Myra Menke. Elya said he still wanted to marry her So she gave him his smallest pig and she said to bring him up the mountain while

he sings a song like this ”if only if only, the woodpecker sighs the bark on the trees were just a little bit softer while the wolf waits below hungry and lonely  he cries to the Moo-oo-n if only if only” and she said if at the end he doesn’t bring her up the mountain he and his family will be cursed. elya gave his pig to myras father but both their pigs were the same weight so he decided to take madam zeronis (the fortune tellers) advice. but he forgot to take her up the mountain. when Stanley gets to camp green lake he soon finds out that all they do there is dig and he finds out the mystery why.
