Dear friends,
This book is a real gift for you to make the language learning process successful and interesting. It contains interesting materials for extracurricular language learning. You will find here a scenario for an open meeting of the school Euroclub in the form of quest with the elements of web quest, the tasks for English and German-speaking teams, instructions, pictures and the necessary printed materials for your immediate conduct of the quest. I wish success to you and your students.
With love,
Lidiya Nesterenko
“In the 21st century illiterates are not those who can not read and write, but those who do not know how to study, and yet – forget what they have learned,” says Elvin Toffler, one of the authors of the concept of post-industrial society.
In the early 21st century, more than 200 organizations and leading companies in the world offered a list of skills that young people need to be successful. This list was called “Skills of the 21st Century”. “We can not build a future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future.” Following this goal, the Teachers’ Team of Chorniavka School seeks to form these skills from their students to success in the conditions of a modern world.
One of the ways to develop the skills of the 21st century is the form of work named quest. Doing quest, students communicate with each other for a long period of time, and teachers are always close by to provide clear instructions on how to accomplish tasks, if it is necessary. Quest is interesting, non-standard, fun, dynamic, modern and successful.

Cruz David Beckham is the son of former soccer player David Beckham and former “Spice Girls” member Victoria Beckham. At the age of two, little Cruz danced his break dance during a Spice Girls’ concert. It seems that Cruz is going to follow in her mother’s footsteps by pursuing music. In early 2016, Victoria Beckham shared on her Instagram account a video of Cruz singing the chorus to Twista and Faith Evans song “Hope”. In the video, the 11 years old kid can be seen showing his singing skills while swaying from side to side. Fans not only liked his singing, they even went as far as to compare him to the Canadian pop star Justin Bieber. It was soon followed by another video of him performing Anna Kendrick’s ‘Pitch Perfect’ song “Cups” while drumming a plastic cup for the beat. Like his father, he and his brothers are very athletic and enjoy the game of football. At a younger age, Cruz and his brother Romeo used to train with Arsenal’s youth teams. While his elder brothers have moved from football to follow other interests, Cruz is still interested in the game and plays for Arsenal Academy. The young boy is fearless and adventurous when it comes to sports. He loves ice skating and often performs daring stunts on scooter. Cruz is known as a cheeky kid. His mother once revealed his cheeky side by mentioning that when they all were learning sign language to communicate with a deaf friend, a 5-year-old Cruz wanted to learn how to say “I have gas” first. He even wanted to learn how to say swear words in sign language. Little Cruz doesn’t mind modeling for his big brother Brooklyn who is aspiring to be a photographer. In a photo shared by Brooklyn on his Instagram page, Cruz can be seen swimming underwater in a pool.

Everyone thought this was an excellent idea, especially the eagle. ‘Make me king now,’
he said. ‘I am the strongest, and I can fly the highest.’
‘Ah,’ said a little voice. ‘But you might not win!’
‘Ha ha!’ laughed the eagle. ‘You can’t beat me, little sparrow!’
‘We’ll see,’ said the sparrow.
The race began, and all the birds flew high into the sky. They flew higher and higher,
and the eagle flew the highest. ‘Ha! I told you!’ squawked the eagle. ‘I, I am the king!’
