How Long Does a Book Have to Be?

In the old days, books made of paper needed to be physically bound into the form of a physical page-flipping book. In order to do that there needed to be a minimum number of pages, say sixteen or twenty-four.

But electronic books don’t have to be bound. So the moment you give your title to a book, Ourboox creates an empty book. You can fill it with as many pages as you want. An e-book can be one page long. Or a hundred. You decide!

A tip from us: People these days have less patience for long reading. So e-books tend to be much shorter than paper books. Many of my own books are 16 pages or less. It’s entirely up to you.

With Ourboox, you can also embed interactive videos, maps, games, puzzles and more. Can’t do that with a book made out of paper!

And of course, once your book is published in paper format, you can’t make changes. You can’t edit, add or subtract pages. With electronic books, you can of course.
