Jobs In My Community

Everyday, many people in my great town of Ithaca New York, make their way to work. Jobs, as we call them, help people to make money to buy things children love and need such as:

Food, Clothes, Toys, and many others.

Together, let’s explore some of the jobs I see in my town!

Passing by, you can smell the yummy Mexican dishes being made and served here. There are Cooks, Servers, and also Cashiers who work at Chipotle Mexican Grill.

Ups workers, receive, pack and deliver packages to members in my community.

When I go to school, my teacher shows me many things I never knew. They teach me Math, Science, English, History and much more in my classroom.

Police Officers in my community protect and serve everyone around me. They patrol my neighborhood, and catch all the bad guys, keeping me safe.

Bus drivers in my community, are a convenient way of transportation, and gets me where I need to go safely.

Workers at this natural food market, serve the community by restocking the shelves and “bagging” my groceries with healthy and organic foods.

Dog walkers not only walk, but protect, nurture and care for animals while their owners are busy at work, or away.

Pharmacists at Green Street Pharmacy provide medication and vacations needed to keep my community healthy.
