What Do You Want to Be?

Do you want to be a Police officer?

Police officers protect the public, make sure people follow laws, and help people feel safe.  Some police officers have special jobs such as being a detective, traffic officer, or dog handler!  Sometimes being a police officer is dangerous but they know how to protect themselves and stop crime.

Do you want to be a chef?

A chef is someone who cooks food as their job!  A chef can work in a restaurant, diner, on a cruise ship, private plan, catering hall, and many other places.  A chef is in charge of buying food, creating recipes, and making a menu!

Do you want to be a teacher?

Teachers teach children to read, write, do math, learn about science, social studies, and so much more!  Teachers help students learn about themselves and the world around us.

Do you want to be an auto mechanic?

Auto mechanics work on cars and car parts!  Mechanics can help fix a car when it is not working or can make a special change in a car so it can work differently.  Auto mechanics know about all the different parts of a car and specific kinds of cars!

Do you want to be a nurse?

A nurse is someone who is trained to help people that are sick or hurt!  Nurses work in hospitals, doctor’s offices, schools, or even in people’s homes.  Nurses can give people bandages for cuts and scrapes or medicine to help with pain.

Do you want to be a farmer?

A farmer is someone that grows plants and raises animals on big areas of land.  Some farmers only grow plants such as corn, carrots, or mushrooms.  Some farmers raise animals such as goats, cows, pigs, or horses.  Some farmers have both!
