Cultural heritage passed down to us from our parents must be preserved for the benefit of all. In an era of globalization, cultural heritage helps us to remember our cultural diversity, and its understanding develops mutual respect and renewed dialogue amongst different cultures.
We should give this idea to our children, students and all of the people around us….
Culture is wealth. It has to be told in a way to future generations.
We have been dealing with cultural heritage since the early years of our lives. When we started to think about it we realised that this concept refers to all the valuable resorces that are important for the existence of a nation. We, as Poles, also have our own culture in many areas. First of all, we need to distinguish the language we speak. It is an invaluable value for us. The next important things are monuments that can be found in many places in the country. They are souvenirs that allow us to recreate the atmosphere from very distant times. They refer to thr commemoration of important historical events or presents the main motives of art or architecture of the past times. We should not forget about the outstanding figures who have made their mark on the history of mankind. There is also music, literature, customs and traditions that we must not forget.

While participating in that project we were doing lots of research and works concering the subject of heritage. Students could discover many interesting places around them, meet people who are really important for our local culture and take part in the meetings and workshops related to our local traditions. We prepare lots of different decorations then. We work with our parents. We meet people who are regional artists. They talk about traditions and customs, their lives, jobs and try to show us their work. In March we had Easter workshops. We made Easter cards, wax bunnies, Easter eggs, floral table decorations.

There are a few words from my students about the project
“I liked the project because I found out many new things about other countries. I practised my English, too.” OLIVIA
“The most fascinating thing about the project was getting known people from different countries, their hobbies and interests.” MARTA
“For me, the best was searching for important and interesting places in our village and country. I could know many things about them and share my knowledge with the students from other countries.” KAROLINA
“I could read about different cultures and compare them with our customs and traditions.” KACPER

And we have to remember one thing
Bearing in mind national cultural heritage, we must open ourselves up to the culture of other countries, we must appreciate cultural diversity and of course respect it.
ALL THE BEST FOR ALL OF YOU!
