Many years ago, there was a secret village. Only the people who lived in this village knew about its existence. There was a girl that lived with her father in one of the houses in the village. The girl’s name was Helen. When she was two years old, her mother abandoned her and her father. She left five dresses in different colors to her daughter and every dress had a special magical power. When Helen wore the red dress, she could read other people’s minds. The white dress could make her extremely happy and prevent her from being sad at all times. The blue dress gave her the ability to fly, the green one could make her small like a bean and her most favorite one was the pink dress which could make her see a magical pink world of unicorns.

One day, Helen and her father decided to visit her grandmother. But first of all Helen wanted to make sure that her dresses were safe and asked their neighbor to guard them. She knocked on her neighbor’s, old George’s door.

“So what’s so special about those dresses?” George asked Helen.

“Don’t tell anyone, but these dresses are the only thing my mom left   me. Each one   has a special power.” answered Helen.

Old George believed Helen and agreed to keep her dresses safe, for free. Helen was very happy, she gave old George her dresses, went to her father and they went on their way to visit her grandmother. When she came to her grandmother’s house, she was happy to see her. Helen’s grandma made her favorite cookies; they sat together and drank hot milk. The following day, when Helen and her father were on their way back home, they saw a girl wearing Helen’s blue dress. Helen was surprised and said “Dad! Look! This girl’s dress is exactly like mine!” Her father responded, “It can’t be! Let’s hurry to George’s house!” Both of them ran in the direction of old George’s house as fast as they could and when they knocked on the door, no one opened it. Helen started to cry and her father tried to calm her down but wasn’t successful. Helen and her father followed the girl with the blue dress and asked her where she got it. The girl answered, “My father gave me this dress as a birthday present”. Helen’s father asked her, “Who is your father?” and the girl responded, “My father’s name is George, he lives not far from here.”

Helen and her father returned to George’s house again and knocked on the door but still no one opened it for them. They came back home and Helen was very disappointed and sad because those dresses were her last memory of her mother. On the following day, as Helen’s father was preparing lunch, she was sitting outside their house and at the same time, George’s son – a young boy named Thomas, was crossing the street. Thomas came up to Helen and asked her why she was sad. Helen told him, “I don’t know you, why would I tell you what happened?” Thomas answered, “I’m just a nice boy that’s interested in the well being of a beautiful girl”. She smiled and told him about what happened.

When she finished telling Thomas her story, Thomas told her that old George was actually his father. “I can’t believe that my dad did such a horrible thing!” Thomas said and headed home to ask his father about the story Helen told him. When he got back home he saw his sister wearing a new pink dress and asked her where she got it. His sister told him that their father gave it to her. Thomas knew what was going on right away and understood that Helen was right. He ran to Helen’s house and told her, “I can’t believe I’m saying this, but you were right and I’m going to help you to get your dresses back.” Helen smiled.

At night, Thomas stole the dresses from his sister’s room and gave them back to Helen. Helen didn’t know how to thank him. He kissed her and she kissed him back. The morning after, Helen wore her pink dress and went out with Thomas. When old George saw Helen wearing her dress he was shocked. “How did you get this dress?” he asked Helen. She answered, “The same way you got it!”
