BDS = UNHRC = 0
For those of you who think BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) has a point, please either leave the room, ask me to take you off this distribution list, or, preferably, start asking questions.

And as BDS does = UNHRC (UN Human Rights Council), the same can be said for that disorganization. The only thing it’s united for is the anti-Israel prejudice. At least it should change it’s name; be honest. Since its inception in 2006, 62 of its 117 resolutions have focused on Israel; 55 on other countries. Hey! we may have crossed the line a couple of times, but we’re not that naughty. The current week of discussions at the UNHRC plans to pass 7 resolutions by the end of the month – 5 of which are against Israel.
4
The PLO envoy (wait a minute….PLO? Most consider PLO to be a terrorist organisation since its inception in 1964, which was when the West Bank was occupied by Jordan, and Gaza by Egypt…anyway, as I was saying, who cares what the ridiculous UNHRC does and says)…so, the PLO envoy to the UNHRC yesterday demanded that buying any products produced by Israelis in the West Bank should be treated as an act of war.
5
Hmmm, think about it…next time you’re in your supermarket, or department store, or hi-tech supplier, be very careful!! That hooded man overt there could be the UNHRC rep, ready to shoot you.
6
In the meantime, an Israeli-American 77 year-old man, Richard Lakin, a man of peace, who has written books on human rights, who marched with Dr. King, was shot and stabbed to death on a Jerusalem bus 2 weeks ago. His daughter rightly travelled to Geneva to ‘quietly suggest’ that this is a subject more condemnable than buying a bottle of Soda Stream (and giving decent employment to hundreds of Palestinians).

So, last night Israel watched the non-Jewish presidential candidates grovel in front of AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee). (Not quite sure why the only Jewish candidate, Bernie Sanders, stayed away. I know he’s very liberal, non-religious etc. etc., but this was a photo-op not to be missed. Is he perhaps honest??).

Kasich, Cruz, Trump and Clinton:
-
3 out off 4 would nullify the Iran deal immediately. (Clinton would ensure it works for Israel). You and I know you can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube.
9
-
All 4 would move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to the Jerusalem. I’ve heard that one before. By the time you’ve acquired the property, got the planning rights, sorted out the major security issues, checked on the private lives of all the neighbors – and then built the place – 8 years will have gone by, and the next President will veto the whole thing.
10
-
All 4 will meet Netanyahu first thing Monday morning. (Not sure he will come, nor am I sure El Al is flying on that day).
Oh, Stephen has moved more to the right, they say. NOT TRUE!!! I am standing here, absolutely still, watching much of the World drifting slowly and surely to the politically-correct left.

And Israel?
Blue sky – View from our hotel window last weekend, during conference in Eilat
12
Spring – – Plaque in memory of my Mum, stuck in a pot with our rooftop olive tree, now happily surrounded by Fresias
14
Purim (Israel’s week of carnivals) – Our grandkids already dressed up to the nines…
16
All this interrupted by horror in Brussels.
Lost for words….
Stephen
