Sea Front
January 24; mid-Winter. Not many places on Earth where the sun shines on a happy sea front.

But before you join me on my little bike-ride in northern Tel Aviv, let me apologise for being happy.
Perhaps a few of you know/knew Ephraim Kishon, author, director, satirist, great personality. His wonderful stories were all taken from life, just from his smiling point of view.

I am reminded of his 1967 book, ‘Sorry We Won’, written just after the 6-day war.
We/I should not be embarrassed for being happy, for being right, for ‘liking what we see in the mirror’.
We cannot help if others don’t have that attitude. It has to be their problem.

The Palestinians are trying to get Israel up in front of the ICC (International Criminal Court) – and some people agree with them.
Are they kidding? The Palestinians?

Mahmoud Abbas was also on the front line of walkers in Paris 2 weeks ago, protesting against terrorism.
Was he kidding? A man who at least was a terrorist, and recently made a pact with Hamas, officially terrorists.

Israel is criticised for allegedly being responsible for an attack on Hezbollah and Iranian military officials in southern Syria.
Perhaps fair criticism. But I’m looking for balance. Where’s the criticism of Belgium for killing some guys whom they claim were planning attacks on their police?

You mean prevention (and self-defense) is sometimes right and fair?
Oh, I see…
