And tell your son- Passover
Father would put together
Matzah and Maror ( bitter)
And eat them
As a reminder of “”They embittered their lives”
2
As Mother hurries to mitigate
The severity of the mitzva with Charoset- Date pulp
That has a taste of a stolen sin
Covered with broken nuts
4
In a little while our backs will be tied up
With a scarf and a matzah inside
And we’ll go outside and knock
On the door of our childhood
6
The adults who are sitting on the holiday table will ask us,
Who are you
We’ll answer : “The sons of Israel”
Where did you come from?
We’ll answer : “Egypt”
Where are you going?
We’ll answer : Jerusalem
And where are your bags ?”
And we enter and start to sing “What is this night different from all other nights?”
7
Father would ask questions
And give prizes to the children
One is wise, one is evil, one is innocent
And one does not know how to ask
10
The afikoman will be hidden
So that it could be discovered without a fuss
Elijah’s great cup of silver will wait for him every year
Even though we all know
And we’ll continue to sing
”We were slaves….
Now we are free people, free people”

12
Then Father would take a glass of wine
And divide The Ten Plagues
To all those who seek our evil
14
Mother will bring her best cooking
As if she wants to say: Do not worry,
“This is the bread of affliction that our ancestors ate in the land of Egypt.”
But you’re here at home
Eat well, eat plenty
16
And now that you are full
And the wine fills your heart with joy
All you want is
To retire to sleep
But Father calls us to order
Until we reach the end of the Haggadah
18
Another hour passes from the Exodus
And even though our forces are already in retreat
Everyone wakes up and sings in a loud voice,
“There is One God our God in heaven and on earth.”
